NEW PROJECT! Xmas Scene

I'm starting a new project - my basement, decorated for Christmas.  My parents' house was built in the 70's, and much of it has not really been changed since.  As such, our basement is spectacular during Christmas time.

Composition test render

 I am going to figure out a good composition before I actually start doing things. (I normally just do whatever comes to my mind and end up having to redo A LOT of stuff).  It's is hard to tell, but there is a window on the left, then the Christmas tree.  The long thing with blocks on top of it is what my family calls the "ski village".  Basically just a little town made of figurines my mom collects.  The block supporting the ski village is a chest.

 And the walls are all wood paneled.
